Documents to be Presented to LUNN

Depending on the type of the educational program (a major of a course) international students will need to submit different sets of documents.

Study Russian at LUNN or  Other Courses

A Major Program (BA, MA, Specialist or Research Degree)

Before arrival

  1. Copy of the passport.
  2. Letter of Application.
  3. Invitation Application.

On Arrival

  1. Passport;
  2. Migration Card;
  3. Copies of ALL the pages in the passport;
  4. University registration fee;

At the moment of applying to the program

As per request

(please contact us in advance to specify)

  1. Passport.
  2. *Copy and translation of the passport into Russian NOTARIZED by a Russian Notary.
  3. **Academic credentials and relevant supplements (if any). These documents must be legalized (consulate legalization or Apostille stamp).
  4. *Copy and translation of the academic credentials into Russian NOTARIZED by a Russian Notary.
  5. ***Certificate of acknowledgement of the foreign education in Russia. In some cases foreign academic credentials are accepted without such a certificate.
  6. Copy of Russian visa and Migration Card (if entered Russia under a visa regulation).
  7. A Medical Certificate stating the absence of medical contradiction to studies in the Russian Federation and a fluorangiography certificate.
  8. HIV-negative test results certificate.
  9. 6 photos, 30*40 mm.

* copies of the documents issued in member-countries of Legal Assistance and Legal Relations on Civil, Family and Criminal Cases Convention (effected in Minsk on January 22, 1993) may be notarized by notaries of the following countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia, Moldavia, Tajikistan, Turkmen, Uzbekistan. 

** No legalization is required for academic credentials issued in member-countries of Legal Assistance and Legal Relations on Civil, Family and Criminal Cases Convention (effected in Minsk on January 22, 1993), as well as in the countries with which the Russian Federation has concluded bilateral agreements on legal assistance. The list of such countries may be obtained from here or in LUNN Department for International Affairs (write to us at petrovapr@lunn.ru).

The simplified legalization (by way of putting the Apostille stamp) is effective for member countries of the Convention cancelling legalization of foreign official documents of November 5, 1961 (Hague Convention of 1961). The list of countries having effective international agreements on mutual recognition of academic credentials with Russia may be obtained from here or in LUNN Department for International Affairs (write to us at petrovapr@lunn.ru).

*** Academic credentials issued in countries with which the Russian Federation has concluded bilateral  and multilateral agreements on mutual acknowledgement of academic credentials shall be accepted without the Certificate of acknowledgement of the foreign education in Russia. Thus, all National Certificates issued in CIS countries during the effective periods of international agreements shall be acknowledged in the Russian Federation. The list of such countries may be obtained from here or in LUNN Division for International Affairs (write to us at petrovapr@lunn.ru).
